Full Version: Square-to-Square Method

Anyone use Doug Tewell's "Square-to-Square" method? If so, does it work and was it easy to incorporate the principals? As I get older and lose flexibility I am looking for something that works with less shoulder turn / backswing which this method seems to address. His short "8 myths" teasers seem to be as much about his career and anecdotes from those times as his "method".

Thanks in advance!

Wasn't a square to square method on the cover of Golf Digest about 25 years ago? And that wasn't the first time it has been used.

I think it goes back to the seventies but I do remember the Golf Digest cover. Jim Flick was one of the originators. As I recall, the technique did not last long.

I used it back in the day.

It was from that late 1960s and the late Bert Yancey was one of the supporters.

Even Golf Digest eventually admitted that S2S was a disaster and ruined many golfers. I think that Dick Aultman was one of the editors of GD at the time and he pushed it.

If you like the idea of a weak grip, bowed left wrist, and weak pushes then go for it.
