I'm interested in finding a website where I can type in a list of individual players and get their boxscore summaries compiled automatically. Anyone every stumble across one?

Quick and dirty method.

Go to nba.com and go into the player tracking section.

Select a player, right click on the data table and select export to excel.

Select the "yellow" arrow in the web query box that will pull the data. Follow the dialog box instructions.

Save the Excel file, next time you open it, refresh the data.

Not the prettiest, but it works for me in my fantasy football leagues.

If you're interested I can try to clean up the instructions later in the week.

Here's a link for Kobe -- http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kobe_bryant/game_by_game_stats.html

Attached is the sample excel data file.

Try this.
Open this link --http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kobe_bryant/game_by_game_stats.html

1. Click in the “Date” area of the header.

2, Now Right Click on “Date”, hopefully you see an option to “Export to Microsoft Excel”. If so select it.

3. At this point Excel should open and present you with a “New Web Query Dialog”. The original web page will be displayed in this dialog box. You will see several yellow arrows on the left side of the dialog box. Select the arrow next to the data table, you should now see a green checkmark next to the data table.

4. Select the import button. The data will now populate in Excel.

5. Once the data is saved in Excel, you can refresh the data query. The method for refreshing data varies with the different versions of Excel.
