The 2016 M2 fairway is IMO one of the best out there. Too bad it's discontinued.

The 2018 Ping G400 fairway is ok, but counterbalanced shafts don't work IMO. The Ping club is short compared to the 2016 M2.

It's discontinued because the new versions are better

What changed?

Hitting a 3 wood or even a driver off the deck was no big deal...I understand that hitting a 460cc driver off the ground is tough....but a 3 wood?

What changed...did we just get older and slower?

For me, fairway grass has gotten shorter

My club they're as tight as I've ever seen, too short in fact, so there is nothing holding the ball up to help get under it.

The 3hl and 5hl m4 clubs I can hit in the air off these lies but I can also come up and out of it and skim em about 200 yards leaving scorched earth in it's wake.

The other day I hit my 3 'long' approach shot clubs at the range.

Adams TL2Ti 15*

Kasco K2K 33

The easiest to hit...kasco by a MILE.

Longest...TEE EX9...not even close.

Shortest...Kasco by a few yards judging by the flags at the range.

I hit the Kasco about 225, the Adams about 230-235 and the TEE about 250.

The problem...the TEE is about a 4/10 proposition and the other 6 are HORRIBLE.

I'm thinking of getting a TEE EX10 Beta 15* to try out...I'd like to get about 240 off the ground...The EX9Long is a great tee club, but it's got a larger clubbed. It seems like on Par 5' I'm always 240-260 out...and just can't reach with the Adams or Kasco.

Either that, or I need to just move up a set of tees.

I think it's more about your swing. I've never had problems hitting FWs off the turf, but I pick everything maybe that's why. I used to hit driver off the deck when they were around 360cc.
I still game a 9* Orlimar low profile driver that I use as a trouble club. I can choke up slice that thing around trees from 150 out. I have no problem elevating it on full shots either and I'm a slow swinger ,90 mph driver.
