IME with five Wishon clubs, the workmanship was always very good to (usually) great. And I think he is one of about three founder | owner | designers that takes time out to sincerely answer emails and show genuine gratitude for the buyer.

That said, the brand is just as DOA during resale in the GEA SS and FGI FM as any other component. Absolutely no better than the next non-major maker and way WAY beneath the major OEM lines.

So the high enthusiasm for Wishon product is rational and sincere. But price support in the resale market is null.

I conclude a small but very vocal following. Appears to be more volume than really present due to the repetition of the mantra.

That does not bother me about Wishon brand. But it demonstrates that these golf DBs are not mainstream golfers | consumers and the component element is only a tiny TINY fraction of the gear aficionados.

iPhone not working again, alternatives?

quote: Tysdad (TPITTARD)Ok, I have been a HUGE iPhone fan for over two years, but I may have reached my limit with issues. My original 3G was pretty trouble free but since I have had a 3GS, and now iPhone and it is one thing after another. The latest with my iPhone 4 is that it won't accept a call or text outbound or inbound. I do receive emails, and I can make outgoing calls, but that's it. The phone is less than a month old. I called Apple support and of course they said I need to go to an Apple store. THe closest store is about 35 minutes in traffic and because of work I may not get there until this weekend. To top it off my son is Type 1 Diabetic, I am a single dad, and his school calls me during the day to ask for insulin dosages, etc. To say I'm pissed would be an understatement.

So, I am actually considering selling my iPhone 4(I'm guessing the Apple store will give me a new one) but I have no clue what I want. I have to have a smart phone....I use email, text, web browsing a lot. A real keyboard is important to me if it's not an Apple. Finally, a music player if VERY important to me as I am training for triathlons and 1/2 marathon and need my music and my phone together.....I would be very interested in a music player that allowed me to use my iTunes VERY easily......

Thanks for suggestions!

Tommy

Depends on your network IMO. I'm in the market too - moving from Iphone 3G - not entirely sold on the Iphone 4. Droid Incredible was the fastest internet device I've seen (but on Verizon) then Iphone 4. The best email/phone is a tie b/t Iphone and Blackberry. Blackberry Torch looks nice on TV but not sure in real life.

Despite lack of run support again but with good defense, Latos finally gets win 14 and is the first in MLB with 15 straight starts at 5+ innings and 2 or less runs. He should be 17-2 at worst and a near lock for the Cy Young.

But the Pads weak bats will not hold off the losing Sept., and will deny Latos a Cy Young. 5 straight losses starting tomorrow.

Road Bike Pedals and Shoes question

I'm a triathlete myself, and I can't imagine not having clipless pedals. Once you get used to the shoes and the clip-in/clip-out motion, it really becomes second nature, plus your strokes are much more efficient, which saves you time and energy when you're in the middle of a triathlon. I don't love my particular brand of pedal (Look Keo Classic) because they're top-heavy, so if you clip out when you're stopped, they'll turn upside-down, and you have to kick the pedal with your toe to get it back to position to be able to clip back in....it's near impossible to clip back in if you have to stop on a hill. Anyway...that's something to keep in mind when you're looking at pedals. But if you're going to be riding enough to train for and compete in triathlons, it's money well spent.

Wine tasting...

Wife and I went wine tasting with good friends, another husband-and-wife, last Sunday. I consider him a wine connoisseur as he really knows his wines and has a fabulous wine cellar. I know just a little about wines... after our wine tasting, we stopped at a really nice restaurant in Plymouth, California. We checked the menu and my friend checked the wine list as well. This particular restaurant has a great chef and they were quite crowded so we elected to sit at the bar to have dinner. I began chatting with a couple sitting to my left and my wife elbowed me and said it was my turn to order something to drink. I looked down at my friend and ask what he was having... he said a glass of Merlot. I grabbed the wine list and noticed down under the single glasses of wine a selection called "Around The World!" We're talking wine here. :-) Well, the ATW was a sampler of three different fine wines for the same cost as my friends Merlot and my guess would be that had I poured my 3 glasses together, looked as if I was getting considerably more wine than his single glass for the same price and one of mine was a terrific Merlot. My friend with his Merlot looked down at my three glasses, seemingly a bit impressed by my selection, proceeded to finish his Merlot and then he ordered the ATW round of 3. With that said, made me feel like I was on the same wine pedestal as my friend...at least for the moment. :-)

If you're ever in that area, there are some excellent wineries there and worth a couple of days of tasting.
